Prism of Praise Community Gospel Choir (Prism) is a multiracial, ethnically diverse Christian choir. Through both song and witness, its mission is to:
• communicate and spread the good news, Christ’s inclusive message of salvation;
• recognize and support the work of the Holy Spirit in the world today through outreach efforts;
• inspire and encourage all individuals on their personal journey toward God.
Originally founded in 1991 at the (then) Portuguese Calvary Baptist Church (Providence), Prism of Praise ventured forth in 1998 to become an independent community choir. Currently, Prism has over 30 active members ranging in age from 14 to 80+. The members of Prism seek to join God wherever He is working, to be present as God blesses, rescues, heals and saves.
Prism of Praise has ministered in the community in a wide variety of settings over the years, with the goal of spreading God's love, peace and hope through music and assisting other ministries and organizations in their fundraising endeavors.
